The Queue System
VoiceOtaku serves one caller at a time to guarantee a focused, high-quality experience for everyone. When others are using the service, you'll be placed in a fair, first-come first-served queue.
Why a Queue?
Providing a real voice AI response takes real computing resources. A shared queue means:
- No degraded quality from too many concurrent users
- Predictable wait times — you always know where you stand
- Fairness — the first person to join is the first person to be served
What You'll See While Waiting
The queue screen shows:
- Your position — e.g., "You are #3 in the queue"
- Estimated wait time — based on current call duration and your position
- Live updates — your position refreshes automatically every few seconds
You don't need to do anything while waiting. Just leave the tab open and VoiceOtaku will connect you automatically when it's your turn.
Queue Rules
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| One active caller | Only one person is on a call at any time |
| FIFO order | First come, first served — no skipping |
| Auto-release | If a call goes silent or the tab is closed, the slot is released within 2 minutes so the queue doesn't stall |
| No reservation | Closing the tab removes you from the queue — you'll need to rejoin |
How Long Will I Wait?
Each call lasts a maximum of 2 minutes. In the worst case, if you're position #4, your wait is around 6–8 minutes. In practice most calls are shorter.
What If I Leave and Come Back?
If you close the tab or navigate away, your queue position is lost. You'll need to click Start Call again to rejoin the queue from the back.
